As I’ve come to realize, life is a journey. And in this journey comes with a lot of opinions and comments. Yes, 99% of those people are trying to be helpful but over this past Labor Day weekend, I’ve learned a valuable lesson: Do What is Right For You. 1. It’s not about the branch. See, as the above quote states, if we worry about the branch breaking, then we are not fully putting believe in ourselves. I think this is a great message and reminder to stop worrying about everything and everyone around us. When it become decision time, focus only on yourself and you will see how natural and easy your decision comes. Stop thinking about the branch. 2. What you are not. I like this quote because way too often we spend time thinking about all the reasons why we cannot do something. I’m not this or I’m not that. We certainly waste a lot of time think about all the reasons why we cannot do something. Stop holding yourself back. Find the things in your heart that make you, you and go for it. Who cares what everyone else says. 3. Who cares what he thinks. Who you are and all of your value should never be based on someone else. I like how this quote uses the word inability to show someone’s view of your value. It’s not what they think or even if you believe it. See the truth is, your worth and value will only decrease when you truly believe in your abilities. It’s all up to you. My Take Away…
All it takes is a few quick quotes and I already feel like a small boost of confidence. Stop holding yourself back and worry about if the “branch” is going to hold you up. Find what is true in your heart and go after that. You will never go wrong with passion. And finally, no one person’s inability to see your value can affect you unless you allow it. Don’t point the finger. It is up to you to show the world what you have to offer. Let’s keep the conversation going. How do you motivate yourself?
